Combi rig
These are the matrials you'll need to make a combi rig. The only difference with this rig compared to the standard rig is the hooklink material, which one you use i'll leave up to you...
Start by stripping of a piece of the outercoating of het hooklink material...
Make a loop with a knot, just like with the standard rig, in the stripped of part of the material...
Thread the other side of the material through the back of the eye of the hook and turn it 5 times arround the stem of the hook, going away from the eye...
Again, thread the hooklink through the back of the eye of the hook and pull...
Choose the length and make a loop. Slide a swivel over the loop...
Make a grannyknot with the swivel inside the knot and put the swivel through the loop... Moisten and pull tight.
Now trim al the loose ends and you're done...
As you can see in the pictures, the combi rig is made up out of a stiff part and a short smooth part. The smooth part makes the hook grab into the mouth of the carp...
Tip: If you submerge the rig in hot water and let it cool down while you stretch it. The coating will remain straight.
