Feeding
When you go fishing for carp, i feel, it's always usefull to do a feedingcampaign with the bait you're going to use a couple of days before you actually go fishing. The fish can adjust to the free offerings and will eat it with much more confidence.
Before you start a feedingcampaign it's always handy to know how much fish are in the water. Just to make sure that you don't feed to much, which can harm the carp and they can even die from it.
Now that you have a good idea how much feed you can use you just need to choose wich one to use. You can for example only feed with the baits your fishing, though this can quickly turn out to be a costly affair in case you are fishing a big lake. That's why you can always start feeding with a particle or pellet and gradually add more of your bait to it.
The first time you arrive at a new water it's always advisable to take a walk arround the water, usually you'll run into some fishermen, with whom you can have a talk. This way you can learn allot...how many fish, good places to fish, etc..
Also take a good look arround during your walk. Sometimes the carp can show it's presence by jumping out of the water or you can look at the watersurface and sometimes see bubbles comming up... Also look for possible backup swims, the water is'nt yours alone and maybe someone is allready fishing the spot you had your eye on, this way you can go somewhere else.
Just feed a couple of hands at every swim, first thrown widely around. the next days make the feeding more accurate until the last day you just feed the spot you want to fish. This is a good way of feeding.
